Job Description:

We seek to hire a Windows Server and Azure Admin System Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions. Support Windows server-based multi-tier applications with cloud-based components. The incumbent must possess strong troubleshooting skills, be self-motivated, process-driven, highly customer-focused, and have a strong desire to improve personally and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server hybrid environments that includes complete Windows stack complemented with Azure services.
  • Implement and manage virtual private networks (VPNs) to ensure secure remote access for employees.
  • Configure and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to Windows Server and network security.
  • Also understanding of Hyper-V clustering, SQL Server clustering, Web Farms, and load balancing.
  • In terms of SQL server skills, the person should be able to install, take backup etc..ONLY basic Admin skills in SQL server.[This is mentioned in the pluses section in JD and also other points in pluses section]
  • The requirement includes skilled required to do documentation of the current network topology using sysops tool or visio tool experience is required. 
  • Certifications – some key certifications are required related to azure, window server, network/security and need to be active and if dates are published of certification it will be good as mentioned by Eric.
  • 6-8 years of hardcore experience as outlined in JD and above, including good communication skills.50% of experience need to be for USA customer and balance 50% could be for non-usa customer. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuring virtualized and clustered
  • Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Experience in documenting existing and planned systems architecture, network topologies, software topologies, and network configuration.
  • Experience in designing and implementing VPN integrations for secure remote access.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pluses

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and platform elements including 
  • Exchange Server, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with SQL Server Installation and Administration.
  • Experience with Azure Administration and hybrid computing architecture.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals
